Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during a session?
You’ll lie comfortably while a trained practitioner uses a hand-held device to trace lymphatic pathways on your body. The treatment is completely painless—many clients find it relaxing and even fall asleep. After the session, you may feel lighter, more energized, or notice increased urination as your body begins detoxifying.
How many sessions do I need?
Everyone’s body is different. While some clients feel a difference after just one session, we typically recommend a series of 3–6 treatments close together for best results—especially if you're working on chronic inflammation, detox, or post-surgical recovery. Maintenance sessions once or twice a month are ideal for long-term wellness.

Can anyone get an ELT session?
For the most part, yes, but there are a few restrictions. Always consult with your healthcare provider if you have concerns or specific medical conditions.
-
Infections:
Electro lymphatic therapy involves direct skin contact, and if there are any open wounds or infections, the therapy could potentially spread the infection.
-
Circulatory Problems:
Individuals with a history of blood clots, deep vein thrombosis, or other circulatory issues should be cautious, as the therapy could dislodge a clot.
-
Heart Conditions:
Lymphatic drainage can increase fluid circulation, which may be problematic for individuals with heart conditions.
-
Kidney or Liver Issues:
Compromised kidney or liver function could make it difficult for the body to process the increased fluid and byproducts of the therapy.
-
Pacemakers or Any Battery Operated Implants:
Individuals with pacemakers or any battery operated implants should avoid electro-lymphatic therapy.
-
Pregnancy:
Unfortunately, ELT cannot be performed while pregnant, but we'd love to have you postpartum.
-
Botox:
Please wait at least 7–14 days after Botox before doing ELT on or near the treated area. Botox needs time to fully settle and bind and early stimulation (massage, electrical, vibration) could cause it to migrate slightly.
-
Breast Feeding:
Please inform our therapist, so we can adapt accordingly.
-
Breast Implants:
Please inform our therapist, so we can adapt accordingly.
-
Under the age of 1:
We cannot perform ELT on anyone under the age of 1.
-
Pacemakers or Any Battery Operated Implants:
Individuals with pacemakers or any battery operated implants should avoid electro-lymphatic therapy.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
It’s best to come well-hydrated and avoid heavy meals or alcohol beforehand. Please come make up, lotion, and deodorant free. Similar to a massage, you will undress to your comfort level during the service. Plan to take it easy after your session to allow your body to process the detoxification.

Can I combine ELT with other treatments?
Absolutely. ELT works well alongside other holistic therapies like massage, chiropractic care, cupping, gua sha and infrared sauna. It’s also a great complement to post-operative recovery plans and beauty regimens like body contouring or skin rejuvenation.
